What is The Cinema Experience?

The Cinema Experience is a unique storytelling hybrid experience between photography and cinema, creating perfect harmony between bespoke masterful artwork, high-production cinematography, and powerful musical scoring. We combine still artwork with a tailor-made short film to bring images to life, and we tie everything together with custom-made music, sound design and luxurious printed presentation.

Who is this for?

The Cinema Experience is a platform built for individuals and businesses alike. It can be tailored for, but not limited to, fine-art/wall art, boudoir, engagement, maternity, personal branding, business branding, advertising campaigns, and brand modernization.

What makes The Cinema Experience different from a regular photo shoot?

While standard photo sessions are often improvised and aim for streamlined efficiency, The Cinema Experience focuses on high-end results, a perfection-oriented process, and no rushing whatsoever.

We utilize a custom-made storyboard based on client preferences. Our cameras and lenses are commercial + hollywood-standard equipment not found in the prosumer market. We utilize cinematic lighting, atmospherics, and set design. Retouching is a manual process that takes upwards of 3-hours per photograph. Your film is edited on professional-level software. Your custom score will be made for you, and only for you. All printing is archival/gallery quality.

What is included in a Cinema Experience package?

All full experiences include a storyboard, a still photography session, a cinematography session, a custom score/sound design, and print credit. Clients can also opt for a personal online gallery to share with friends and family.

What are your print options?

We have a wide variety of archival/gallery quality imported prints, canvases, metals, and folios available from 8×10” and up.

How long is the shoot itself?

On your shoot day, expect an 8-10 hour day. Most experiences function like film sets. On average, 2-4 days of total set time will be involved.

Who will be involved in my experience?

With every full experience, multiple team members will be involved. Conceptualization, still photography, retouching, and direction are provided by Aakaash Bali. Baptiste Carrara and Abriel Bello work as cinematographers. Christian Ladigoski is our director of music.

The team will also include 2-3 grips/production assistants, a colorist, an editor, a mastering technician, and a hair+makeup artist if opted for.

What is the retouching process like?

The retouching process is an all-manual technique done by hand. We utilize commercial-level practices such as dodge & burn, healing + cloning, compositing, localized contrast + color adjustments, cinematic-style grading, print finishing, and micro-detailing. On average, an image takes between 2-5 hours to complete. There are no automatic filters, plug-ins, or “shortcuts” involved.

Will I have creative input?

Absolutely! We cannot create amazing visuals and concepts without your input. Sessions are guided by us, but they are designed just for you.

When will I receive my photographs and video?

Upon completion of production days, your final images, film, and score will be delivered within 6-8 weeks or earlier, depending on the complexity of the project.

What are the shoot locations?

The majority of clients opt to shoot in their own homes, which we can transform into sets. Otherwise, we can shoot just about anywhere. Indoors, outdoors, or even in rental properties. Clients can opt to rent exotic locations for an additional fee (set by the owners).

Can I choose my own wardrobe?

Yes! We will work with you on a wardrobe guide/direction, however you may choose your own. We will always be up front and let you know if a particular wardrobe piece does not work with a concept or storyline.

Will there be a makeup artist + hair stylist on set?

If you do require a hair + makeup professional, we can arrange that for you. You are also welcome to invite your own.

Can I share the experience with another person?

Yes! You may include up to four (4) individuals in an experience. If you require more, we will try and accommodate you.

How are concepts and storylines created?

Most concepts and storylines are crafted after a brief interview/questionnaire. Aside from this, we also take into account any inspiration images or films that you may have. We start with a loose idea, then slowly dial in detail until the concepts are perfect.

Can this be used for commercial purposes?

Yes. Business clients can purchase a commercial use license per image + per film, or purchase full copyrights.

What is the cost?

Full experiences start at $6,500 + tax. We offer financing for up to 12-months through Square Installments for qualified individuals.

Do you have a refund policy?

Due to the highly custom nature of this service, we do not. However, if you are unhappy with any of the productions you receive, we will do everything we can to make things right.

What are your payment terms?

All bookings require a 30% non-refundable retainer. The remaining balance may be paid anytime before your first production date. For your convenience, you may opt to finance a portion or all of your experience through Square Installments. We offer terms up to 12-months, and up to $10,000.

Can I have the raw photos and footage?

Much like a painter will not deliver a half-finished masterpiece, we function the same way. Raw images, footage, and audio files are unfinished products, and we do not distribute them.

Are you able to handle larger, more intricate productions?

Yes. We are partnered with Duo Entertainment to manage and produce large-scale productions.
